Teacher Assignments
Fourth/Fifth Grade:
Lisa Lowenfels
Hello KES Families! I am Lisa Lowenfels, Kelly's 4th and 5th grade teacher. You have likely seen my face around the halls, as this is my 19th year at Kelly Elementary! My family includes Maddie (14) and Miles (11), both of whom have just recently moved through KES as students.
I have a passion for plants, birds, and all things creepy crawly, which is likely at the root of my experiential and science education background. I enjoy getting out on the trails (hiking and cross country skiing), and get my hands dirty in the garden whenever possible! I love this tiny school community of ours immensely, and feel so grateful to be with your children each and every day!
Second/Third Grade:
Kindergarten/First Grade:
Liz Owings
Liz Owings, also known as Ms. Liz to your awesome kiddos. She has really enjoyed getting to know them a little bit over the last few months. Liz pops in and out of each classroom throughout the afternoon and gets the privilege of spending time with everyone. Before coming to Kelly, she has been a middle school history teacher, children’s ministry director and homeschool tutor. Her family moved to Kelly in February of 2020 and they love it here! She has four children and three of them are at KES: Logan (8th), Caleb (6th), Timber (2nd), and Seeley (1st). Some of you and your children may also know her husband, Glenn Owings, who runs the 4-H program in Teton County.

Our daughter attended KES from kindergarten-5th grade, leaving for JHMS in 2022. I just couldn't imagine a life without KES, so now I work here! I've packed in a million lifetimes as a park ranger, firefighter, sled dog racer, librarian and more and have loved all of it. Now, I am lucky to spend my days having all the fun I can handle with the kids of KES.

She has worked at Kelly Elementary longer than any other school in the district (since 2012) and as a result, she has a special place in her heart for KES staff and students.
